Renewal

last night, i planned to wake up earlier this morning to read the Lord's word. in my heart, i told myself that i would not have been able to do it. but my mom woke me up in my sleep at 5.50am to ask me about $$. i thought i'd go back to sleep but she started rambling about things.

being rather upset, but not a word of anger/frustration did i utter to her. after she left, i decided i would take my time to read the Bible.

"Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David, according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead." - Romans 1:1-4

Reminded once again of the characteristics of Christ.
1) Royal - seed of David
2) Real - flesh
3) Powerful
4) Holy
5) Alive

not that my problems @ home are solved. i guessed it could never be solved unless my parents decide to do so. but rather than thinking about the problems and the anguish with family members, i should look to the Lord instead. The God that I can come to, worship, and even serve everyday. I need to just make this even more real & personal to myself that He becomes my driving force once again for each & every day.

A consistent prayer life, a constant walk with the Lord. need to renew myself.

VIP 389 Prayer Changes Things
Many problems meet us on our heav'nly way;
If we had no Helper we would surely stray;
But our loving Saviour bids us seek His face,
Meets us at the throne of grace.

Prayer changes things; prayer changes things.
No matter how heavy the burden you bear,
If you cast it on Jesus
He'll carry your care;
And nothing can hinder the soul that will dare,
For prayer changes things.

VIP 457 I Look to the Shepherd

I look to the Shepherd, He meets all my needs
Beside the still waters He faithfully leads
Bringing peace to my soul and His love makes me whole.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,
Follow me, all the days of my life,
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,
All my life.

And when in the valley of deepest despair,
I look to the Shepherd, His presence is there;
Bringing peace to my soul, as His love makes me whole.
