21 years old.

this was my birthday week. and i must admit this year is lots more fun and more hyped up than ever. because it's my 21st birthday.

my birthday week started last friday when i went to get my 1st birthday present - a new phone. the first "surprise" came in on tuesday. the exact date of my birthday. while i was having my class, mich smsed me to ask me if i wanted to go for supper. having not taken dinner yet and wanting to give them an opportunity to celebrate my birthday (haha!), i said okay and i met them in church. so after a long while in church, we got into various cars. i asked mike where we were going and he said "moses' house". alright, i acted ignorant. i mean.. why would all of us want to go moses' house when we say we want to go supper...? haha.. so there! they sprang a "surprise" on me at moses' house when i got there... and... we had chocolate cake.

wednesday. my actual agreement with yong was to go for blood donation and then dinner at Thai Express (because i have a birthday voucher).
and so i met yong to do blood donation @ HSB (outram). i had to do it alone because yong was low in iron that day. i think blood donation is really cool because it's not painful at all. the most painful thing in the whole process is the prick on the finger when they have to do some tests to make sure your blood is okay to donate.
anyway, so after blood donation, we decided to go to PS because there's a thaiexpress restaurant and she wanted to get stuff (i.e. shoes). so we walked around and she began to message gerald about exchange stuff. and we "decided" to "meet" gerald & elaine for dinner at thaiexpress in Heartland Mall. but we were supposed to meet them at gerald's house first. So we travelled down NEL. just then gerald wants to get us to get strawberries from hougang mall. sigh. i got quite grumpy. "why cant we do that when we go heartland mall?" of course, i still went ahead with yong to get the stuff. and after that we walked to gerald's place.

and we reached the house. and door was open. it was dark.
"SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" err... okay.

i must say this is more surprising than the one at moses' house. haha... there are more conspiracies in this one than the other. it was a small group party. of my much much closer friends...... and family.

the plan for yong was to get me to my side of the world - hougang. so as to 'make' me go to gerald's house somehow and get the surprise. and the reason why i had to go and get the strawberries is because my 2nd sister was on the same train with me.. and she must get to gerald's place before i do. so they had to delay me and yong.

i did kinda knew that there was gonna be a surprise party for me. i just didnt know when.. and i didnt really really expect yong to be in the conspiracy though i know she would be.

but you know.. i realized... i cant take surprises very well. and the thing is.. i tend to be quite observant and i tend to spoil the surprises organized for me. but i do appreciate the stuff done for me.
