a good testimony
i'm thankful that things got better this week, in comparison to the upsetting one the week before. not that my work was bad. its not. im the one being bad, emotional, paranoid and lacking.
i knew i had to start my week 2 right. and i read 1 Timothy 4:12-16 to help me focus.
"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you. "
these verses are not foreign. these were my guiding principles last year. verse 12 was youth choir's vision for 2005. pastor mark taught a lesson in junior camp to the p3 & p4 kids from this verse.
being a testimony "in conduct... in spirit..." was something i kept in mind. and i set what i wanted to do (practical steps) to exemplify.
and so i tried this week. it got better.
little by little, i'm growing in these ways. and i'm thankful that ive grown and am growing.
